On May 10, 2023, the thesis examination was carried out with the Enta Akhmad Ramadhan test participants. In the process of writing his thesis, he was supervised by Mochammad Facta, ST., MT., Ph.D and Dr. Susatyo Handoko., ST., MT and in this thesis exam the examiner was Dr. Iwan Setiawan., ST., MT and Dr. Ir. Abdul Syakur., ST., MT., IPU. In his thesis exam, Enta Akhmad Ramadhan presented his thesis entitled “Analysis of Pv Penetration in Distribution Expenses for Banyudono Boyolali Feeders”.
The research was started by creating research schemes and experiments using the ETAP 12.6 simulation. Then in the next stage, a simulation of irradiation variation of PV is carried out under JTM conditions in WBP (Central Load Time) and Simulation of irradiation variations of PV with JTM conditions in LWBP (Outside Central Load Time).
The results of research regarding the role of PV on the quality of electric power at PT Tirta Investama can be concluded as follows:
- The results of the stress analysis on LWBP and WBP conditions at JTM and JTR have increased as the irradiation received by PLTS has increased from 200 to 1000 W/m2.
- Experimental modeling of PLTS operations with percentages of 25%, 50%, 75% and 100% with irradiation of 1000 W/m2 in JTM conditions when WBP has obtained results that are in accordance with the theory where at the minimum conditions of PLTS operation the voltage tends to decrease but the current tends to increase. increases, and vice versa if the PLTS operation is maximum then the voltage tends to rise and the current value decreases.
- The results of the analysis The active power absorbed by the load has a different nominal according to the connection point / bus contained in the system, both the JTM and JTR sides.
- The condition of the low voltage network when PLTS 1 and 2 absorb 1000 W/m2 produces maximum power, there is no reverse power in the system as indicated by the power being absorbed entirely by the load.
- The results of fault analysis and simulation show that a 1-phase short-circuit to ground fault causes the largest fault current of 5.81 kA to flow on bus 52 (on the 20 kV side of transformer #3 60 MVA Klaten) which supplies PT AQUA DANONE Klaten. The flow of large currents must be immediately cut off by protective equipment to prevent major damage.
- The size of the network losses at several points in the PT Tirta Investama electrical system is affected by the active power injection at the PLTS, the greater the irradiation absorbed by the PLTS (200 W/m2 – 1000 W/m2), the greater the active power generated so that it can reduce power losses in the network.
- Evaluation of the protection system on the JTM on the Banyudono GI and Klaten GI is in accordance with the sequence and backup when a short circuit occurs when PV is added as evidenced in the CB Trip Curve which trips sequentially so as to secure equipment in the GI.
- Evaluation of the protection system on the JTR on PT Tirta Investama’s electrical system both before and after installing the PV, based on the main CB trip curve it is able to break a 3 phase short circuit current of 1.8 kA in 3 seconds and a short circuit current of 5.8 kA within 0.015 Seconds.
