This June was an important moment for six master students of Diponegoro University’s Electrical Engineering Study Program. All six students successfully conducted their thesis examinations, marking an important milestone in their academic journey. On the 12th, Risky Via Feriyanti conducted her thesis exam with supervisor Dr. Ir. Rizal Isnanto, ST., MM., MT., IPU. and examining lecturers Aghus Sofwan, ST., MT., Ph., Dr. Iwan Setiawan, ST., MT and Mochammad Facta, ST., MT., Ph.D. She presented her thesis entitled “Data Analysis and Weather Forecast in Tegal Regency Using Support Vector Machine (SVM) Method”.
Furthermore, on the 13th, Anggit Gusti Nugraheni with a thesis entitled “Javanese Script Recognition Using Canny Edge Detection, Principal Components Analysis, and Support Vector Machine (Svm)”, she took the thesis exam with supervisors Dr. Ir. Rizal Isnanto, ST., MM., MT., IPU., Asean Eng and Dr. Aris Triwiyatno, ST., MT. The examiners in the thesis exam were Aghus Sofwan, ST, MT, Ph.D, Agung Budi Prasetijo, ST, MIT, Ph.D, and Mochammad Facta, ST, MT, Ph.D.
Then on June 15, there were 2 students who carried out thesis examinations. Rofiq Cahyo Prayogo with supervisors Dr. Aris Triwiyatno, ST, MT and Munawar Agus Riyadi, ST, MT, Ph.D, presented a thesis entitled “Brushless Dc Motor Controller Design With Field Oriented Control (Foc) And Space Vector Pulse Width Modulation (Svpwm) Using Stm32f103c8t6 Microcontroller”. The examining lecturers in the exam were Dr. Iwan Setiawan, ST, MT, Dr. Susatyo Handoko, ST, MT, Ph.D and Mochammad Facta, ST, MT, Ph.D. Furthermore, there was Aries Triwibowo with the thesis title “Wheelchair Navigation based on head movements for Quadriplegia sufferers” in working on his thesis he was guided by Munawar Agus Riyadi, ST, MT, Ph.D and Dr. Iwan Setiawan, ST, MT. The lecturers who examined his thesis were Dr. Darjat, ST, MT, Teguh Prakosos, ST, MT, PhD and Mochammad Facta, ST, MT, PhD.
The next day, on the 16th, Rizal Agri Wahyuadi presented his thesis entitled “Water Quality Forecasting in Shrimp Farming Process Based on Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM)”. He was mentored by Dr. Maman Somantri, ST, MT and Dr. Aris Triwiyatno, ST, MT and the examiners in his thesis exam were Dr. Iwan Setiawan, ST, MT, Teguh Prakoso, ST, MT, Ph.D and Mochammad Facta, ST, MT, Ph.D.
The thesis exam was held again on the 26th which was also the last exam held in June. The participant of this thesis exam was Togi Siholmarito Simarmata with his thesis entitled “Detection of Pulmonary Tuberculosis Using Artificial Neural Network with Lung X-ray Photo Feature Extraction Gray Level Run-Length Matrix Method” He was supervised by Prof. Dr. Ir. R. Rizal Isnanto, ST., MT., IPM, and Dr. Aris Triwiyatno, ST, MT and his examining lecturers were Aghus Sofwan, ST, MT, Ph.D, Dr. Iwan Setiawan, ST, and Mochammad Facta, ST, MT, Ph.D.
